## Easy Fishing If you ever wanted to learn to fish but something is stopping you...maybe you watch Youtube videos and are missing the context to make the final umph to get out there and do it...here's a tip... ###### Short ADHD Summary *Before you go fishing for the first time, it is absolutely crucial that you put yourself in the best position possible to actually catch fish. In most cases...the dopamine hit you get when you have a fish on the line and how quickly you experience it (1st outing...2nd...52nd) will determine whether you love to fish or hate to fish. I have found many of the people who dislike fishing just never really ever caught anything and gave up on the hobby.* The reason people who love fishing fish is because they get "hooked" no pun intended, to the feeling of getting a fish on the line... It's hard to describe the excitement you feel when after hours of silence and extreme patience, there is a fish on the line...the adrenaline and excitement is what draw you and possibly converts you into being a fisherman. So... That's what I mean by don't self-sabotage by unintentionally putting yourself in unlikely situations where you are unlikely to hook up in the first place. This is what causes the "I tried fishing and didn't like it people." They go out, don't catch anything, don't experience the fisherman's high and quit, then tell other, "I don't like to fish." So...and I am getting to my point... Put yourself in good situations so you'll actually catch fish on your first, let's say 10 outings...this way you are much liklier to succeed and experience the fisherman's high... ## **How** - Get a cheap setup from Cabelas, Ugly Stick is just fine (You don't even know if you like it yet, save some money) - Go to a "Reservoir." One that stocks triploid rainbow trout. If you happen to live in WA, Lake Roosevelt is the absolute shit, ESPECIALLY if you are just starting out, and don't have a boat. Bank fishing at Lake Roosevelt = guaranteed hook ups with nothing more than power bat worms. #### **Addicted** Once you hook up on some of these chubby Rainbow Trout, you won't want to stop...if the bug gets you good you'll start Stealheading and do other stuff, but Easy Lake Fishing is fun too especially since you got the "bug" and now probably know what your are doing enough to be successful at harder lakes, unlike local lakes that get a lot more pressure. You either hate it or you love it... I just think there are people that probably love it, never gave it a chance or failed too many times locally and quit before discovering they love it... And that's who I am after here I guess...
