Nothing too awesome about it, but nothing to complain about it either. It's a little steep but nothing too crazy. So we reserved the overnight spot on short notice in the middle of summer. It was available. Probably because there is nothing that stands out about it. It's just in the middle of the woods. At least they give you a bear bucket, but it was very "not memorable" to say the least. The path to the lake was muddy AF and smelled like ass poop. We paddled across the lake to "Pebble Beach." Not really as cool as it sounds. If I was in charge, I could make this place sick AF. Noctis got some retrieves in and I got to fish a little bit so I don't want to bitch too much. It's not a place I cannot wait to come back to. It's no muddafuggin Rachel Lake, ya dig? Funny story in notes... --- ### βœ… Highlights Wallace lake is ok. There is access pretty much all the way around. Deep lake and available (probably) on short notice in the middle of the summer. --- ### πŸ—’οΈ Notes Irina was still new to backpacking/hiking in general. She's overpacks like a mofo. She literally brought a handheld battery powered fan...I bitched at her in disbelief...she was like, "It's hot!" Buh-RO... Anyway pretty ironic because it ended up saving us... Somehow I forgot the Platypus and the Ziploc with the lighter in the truck...I was feeling pretty stupid. I took the handheld fan which had a surprisingly large battery pack and shorted the wires together to light some cotton balls (she brought cotton balls too...πŸ€£πŸ˜‚πŸ˜†) on top of the stove. We were able to boil water and eat our dinner that night. And that's how Irina's overpacking saved the day... --- ### πŸ“Έ Photo Drop

πŸ”₯ Never Give Up β€” Back in business!

---

πŸ•οΈ Are we really staying here?
